I received a six pack of loose leaf teas from EnjoyingTea.com, courtesy of Tomoson, for review. While it's not exactly tea weather (80 degrees!), my office is doing overtime on air conditioning and I'm using the excuse of being cold to brew a cuppa of each.
They sent me:
Jasmine Green Tea, which is my least favorite, because I dislike Jasmine (although, to be fair, the Jasmine scent is light in this caffeinated tea)
Keemun Black Tea, which is a pretty straightforward, mellow, earthy tea.
Roasted Mate Chai, which has chai spices (cardamom, etc) in a mate (caffeinated, rejuvenating) (pronounced "maht-tey") and got me through this past week of exhaustion.
Earl Grey Black Tea, which was delicious. It's as you'd expect for an Earl Grey: full-bodied across the pallet.
Organic Slimming Oolong Green Tea, which stimulates the metabolism (hence the 'slimming' claim), and is a toasty green tea.
Vanilla Rooibos Tea, which has slivers of almond and a light, refreshing taste. I'm a fan of rooibos teas in general, and this makes an excellent herbal tea that probably works equally well as an iced tea.
Each canister holds about 4-6 cups of tea, which makes this sample set a perfect gift for your favorite tea lover.
I think the Roasted Mate Chai was actually my favorite, but all of them were mellow and light (probably could be made more intense in flavor if you brew more of the leaves than recommended).
